Time for my first report on courage!
I have freckles and I love them. I really do! Sometimes I get sun with the hope that I'm going to get more. I've never seen freckles as a flaw. I think it adds personality. So, here's the story.
I got married in December and my husband loves my freckles too. But... I've always worn base because it was just part of my makeup routine and it evened out my color. Problem: It covered my freckles.
Now, 6 months later, I've decided not to wear base as often. My skin may not look as smooth and as uniform in color. I might be showing my flaws but it's okay because it's me. I am not perfect. But I have so much potential. Although my physical appearance might define a part of who I am, it doesn't define me and my character. It doesn't define Krysta.
Back to the story. I woke up early, did my hair and......I decided to go to school with NO makeup. It was tough for me. But I did it and found that I didn't mind so much what others might have been thinking about me.
I'm not saying that makeup is bad and that you should stop wearing it. I'm wearing makeup again today. I just needed to know that I didn't need makeup to make me feel beautiful. And You need to know that You are beautiful!
And Here Is My Challenge!
Try going Makeup-less for the day. Tell me how it goes.
Again, the things that I post are probably not going to be immediately life changing but "by small and simple things are great things brought to pass." This is one of my favorite scriptures in the Book of Mormon found in Alma 37:6.

I agree! I've gone around 2 years without makeup except for the VERY occasional eyebrow pencil. It has been wonderful for the health of my skin and the health of my eyes. I don't hate makeup, but it can be deceiving depending on how You use it. I don't want to feel like I need it to be or feel beautiful. And you definitely don't need it!

Thanks Tiff! I didn't realize you've gone that long without it. You are just naturally beautiful!
